All Aboard The Polar Express!

Since this household is loving the Christmas season, we jumped at the opportunity to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole.

The railroad has a humongous railroad museum that we toured before jumping on the train. The models were a favorite.

The as we headed outside near the departure time, the road barriers came down and we heard the train horn wailing as it came hustling down the tracks.

Tessa was so excited to see the train we'd be riding coming our way.

Then as the train pulled all the way into the station we watched the chefs waving to the crowd.
How magical and fun!

We had great seats where Tessa could watch out the window as we made our way to the North Pole to pick up Santa.

We were sure to have our three round trip tickets as the conductor came by to punch the tickets.

As a special treat, the chefs prepared a cookie and hot cocoa for everyone.

We finally made it! We found the North Pole and picked up Santa!

As Santa said hello to all the children, each of them received the first gift of Christmas - a silver bell!

Tessa was so happy to tell Santa her wishlist - a ball, a dolly and candy.

And we had to catch Santa before he left. Tessa forgot that she wanted to ask for ice skates just like in her Corduroy Christmas story.

I’m Stephanie, the mind and Momma behind The Heirloom Family. I created this blog as a way to capture the magic of our family and the beauty of every day slow and simple living. I also hope it serves as an inspiration to you as well.

Nestled in our little corner of the Earth in Western New York, I am lucky enough to share my home with my husband and our daughter, along with 4 cheerful cats.

We strive for a wholesome life, one that is slow and steady. I want to breathe it in, this time we have, and I might just be lucky enough to see the magic in it all.

There are so many things in life that I love – nature. crochet. photography. gardening. cooking. faith. honey. reading. sunsets and sunrises. flowers. ballet. enchantment.
