This Momma's Birthday

I felt extra spoiled this year when I was presented with three choices for my birthday - a package of yoga classes, a gift certificate for a handful of massages at the spa or a DSLR camera.

I just couldn't decide, each one was wonderful in their own way but the camera just seemed like the best investment. I always had regular point-and-shoot cameras but drooled over what a DSLR could do. So when I picked a small Nikon D3200 with some recommendations from a friend who works in photography, I was floored. I love it and can never go back!

Here's my first day of shooting and experimenting:
