Polish Pride

It's our family tradition to watch the Polish Parade together with my Mom and Dave because it always falls around my birthday.

Before we headed out, I had to do some rewrapping of the Morning Glory because it wasn't going to have enough room to grow up. This plant grows so quickly that I had to get it done without delay.

All donned in red and white, Tessa looked extra adorable in her "You bet your dupa I'm Polish!' shirt.

And then the festivities began!

My absolute favorite is this band. They play fantastic street kind of music and have these outrageous costumes.

They must be dying of heat in those but they look awesome!

Tessa was the number one candy catcher.

Then at the end of the parade is the balloon truck that releases tons and tons of Polish-colored red and white balloons. The children always enjoy it!

And what's a Polish Festival without food? In the town park right behind us are local Polish restaurants that serve up the very best kielbasas, pierogi, golabki and sauerkraut. I adore Polish food and tradition!

I’m Stephanie, the mind and Momma behind The Heirloom Family. I created this blog as a way to capture the magic of our family and the beauty of every day slow and simple living. I also hope it serves as an inspiration to you as well.

Nestled in our little corner of the Earth in Western New York, I am lucky enough to share my home with my husband and our daughter, along with 4 cheerful cats.

We strive for a wholesome life, one that is slow and steady. I want to breathe it in, this time we have, and I might just be lucky enough to see the magic in it all.

There are so many things in life that I love – nature. crochet. photography. gardening. cooking. faith. honey. reading. sunsets and sunrises. flowers. ballet. enchantment.
