The Broadway Market is this historic market that has been in the neighborhood where my parents and grandparents grew up for decades. It was a flourishing Polish neighborhood back in the 60s and 70s.
In its "hay day", the place would always be buzzing throughout the week. Now the neighborhood has declined and the place almost went under. Yet, a revitalization has emerged (especially for Polish heritage pride) and the Broadway Market at least sees thousands and thousands of people surrounding the Easter season.
Although I don't have memories of visiting during my childhood, the items each vendor is selling usually strikes such a sentiment in my heart from many celebrations growing up.
I am so glad that we created this tradition for us after Tessa was born. It really makes the season feel exciting and has created beautiful Good Friday memories.
