Monarchs

We purchased a few butterfly bushes back in spring to help line our backyard fence. We got them from our local botanical garden plant sale and chose them because of their ability to grow and provide cover quickly.

It wasn't even in the back of our mind that we would be creating a perfect place to attract, well, butterflies!

We have seen tons of monarchs which is so comforting since they have been increasingly in danger.

Now, as soon as a Monarch enters Tessa's line of vision she quickly yells out "Monarch!" with an outstretched pointer finger in its direction.
