Tessa Turns Three

Oh, sweet girl of mine. How could I have ever dreamed of a more perfect you? I think of the magic you brought to us over these past three years and man, am I lucky to be called your Momma. Happy Birthday Roo, my heart and dreams are filled with love and thankfulness for you.

This morning you stood so tall as I marked your years worth of growing on the doorway.
I know you wish to be even taller but I looked at the space between the 2-year old mark and 3-year old mark and it might as well be a mile.

I was honored to read your Rainbow Story, telling you the magic of the day you were born.
"...The baby girl and her guardian angel walked along the rainbow that led from her place in Heaven to her family on Earth. First they stopped at the Moon who gave the baby girl a seed of wisdom. Next they stopped at the stars who sprinkled tiny glittering seeds of creativity into her hands. Lastly, they stopped at the Sun who gave her a large seed of determination..."

The squeak of excitement when you saw your birthday ring made me proud; that you'd notice each of the sweet decorations signifying special things that make you you. A moon, a horse and a new ladybug for this year.

Happy birthday Tessa!

I’m Stephanie, the mind and Momma behind The Heirloom Family. I created this blog as a way to capture the magic of our family and the beauty of every day slow and simple living. I also hope it serves as an inspiration to you as well.

Nestled in our little corner of the Earth in Western New York, I am lucky enough to share my home with my husband and our daughter, along with 4 cheerful cats.

We strive for a wholesome life, one that is slow and steady. I want to breathe it in, this time we have, and I might just be lucky enough to see the magic in it all.

There are so many things in life that I love – nature. crochet. photography. gardening. cooking. faith. honey. reading. sunsets and sunrises. flowers. ballet. enchantment.
