Easter Egg Hunt

Each year, Easter becomes more and more important to me. I used to think that Christmas was my favorite holiday but there is something special about Easter that just makes my heart smile.

Our lovely little village hosted an Easter Egg Hunt where they covered our arbor park with eggs holding special gifts inside.

As they counted down to release the waves of children waiting anxiously into the park, Tessa was simply excited. She was shouting with excitement about each egg that she saw. She wanted to put them in her beautiful yellow basket.

3--2--1 And she was off! She ran to the first egg she had spotted and quickly opened it to find what was inside. Two more eggs and she was good to go.

We visited with the Easter Bunny who gave us a yummy chocolate sucker but her heart was set on the orange and yellow Starbursts candy which she found in her eggs. Nothing like an Easter Egg Hunt to try your first chewy candy right?

I’m Stephanie, the mind and Momma behind The Heirloom Family. I created this blog as a way to capture the magic of our family and the beauty of every day slow and simple living. I also hope it serves as an inspiration to you as well.

Nestled in our little corner of the Earth in Western New York, I am lucky enough to share my home with my husband and our daughter, along with 4 cheerful cats.

We strive for a wholesome life, one that is slow and steady. I want to breathe it in, this time we have, and I might just be lucky enough to see the magic in it all.

There are so many things in life that I love – nature. crochet. photography. gardening. cooking. faith. honey. reading. sunsets and sunrises. flowers. ballet. enchantment.
