Climber Arrived

Tessa is turning three soon and we were really excited about her gift this year.
She is an active girl that is strong and brave so we wanted to give her something to encourage that.

Our package made its way all the way from Mexico from a friend I met through a Waldorf page. We have bought and sold from one another before and lately have been bartering too. I made her a wool ball for her new baby as a partial barter to offset the cost of this climber.

At first, Tessa, of course, had no idea what it was until Daddy went to go hang it up on the hook we already have in the ceiling from our swing (also from the same friend in Mexico).

She was hooked, literally, since it went up.

She has found all sorts of ways to use it and seems to really be enjoying it.

We really can't wait 'til the weather breaks and we can also play with this outside and hang it up in the tree.

I hope that Tessa comes to remember as an adult, a home that was fun and spontaneous. One that is still orderly and honored but one that she climbed in, danced in and dragged mud through with her Momma and Daddy.

Meet The Author

I’m Stephanie, the mind and Momma behind The Heirloom Family. I created this blog as a way to capture the magic of our family and the beauty of every day slow and simple living. I also hope it serves as an inspiration to you as well.

Nestled in our little corner of the Earth in Western New York, I am lucky enough to share my home with my husband and our daughter, along with 4 cheerful cats.

We strive for a wholesome life, one that is slow and steady. I want to breathe it in, this time we have, and I might just be lucky enough to see the magic in it all.

There are so many things in life that I love – nature. crochet. photography. gardening. cooking. faith. honey. reading. sunsets and sunrises. flowers. ballet. enchantment.
