We went for a ride today and came back with a Tim Hortons doughnut box full of...
chicks
We have been waiting ever so patiently since December, when we got our permit, to pick these girls up.
We have a Brabanter, Easter Egger, Buff Orpington, Black Australarp and Goldlaced Wyandotte that were just hatched three days ago (3/11) and then a Black "Cuckoo" Maran that was hatched 2 weeks ago (2/28).
We'll have a pretty unique flock to look at that give us a pretty diverse color set of eggs.
Tessa was the chick master.
She was so enthralled with them and they seemed to like her right back.
We got them set up in their brooder for the next few weeks and our coop plans are now in overdrive.
